Change is the only constant, they say. And perhaps it is true. In fact, life may sometimes feel like it’s just a string of unending lessons on how to swing through countless transition periods. We’re always preparing for what’s next, always in the season of waiting… no matter what it is that we’re waiting for.

Some of us have a love-hate relationship with change. On some days, we feel a desperate need for it. We just couldn’t wait to get out of the job, the routine, or even the relationship. On other days, we feel as though we’re extremely unprepared for change, that we resist it from coming our way. One of the biggest fears that would come in the beginning of a relationship is, “what if my partner changes along the way?” because change is that scary. Especially on the eve of making a huge commitment.

So, what if your partner changes along the way? The bad news is, change is the only certainty. The good news is, everyone can always change for the better. It’s not as scary as it seems. Love is one of the most effective catalysts for change. Although, love itself does not change, it inspires change. In fact, true love should inspire you to become a better person.

Love isn’t pushy. Love does not demand one to change according to the wants of the other. It embraces one another as they are, supports them through every season of life, and makes them want to be a better person. You know you’ve found your true love when you like the person you are when you are around them.

In a world that’s always trying to fix one another, be the one who embraces everyone just as they are. That kind of love inspires the right kind of change.

Love,

Axioo
