It Is Always Worth It

“To be deeply loved, means a willingness to cut yourself wide open, exposing your vulnerabilities… hopes, hurts, fears and flaws. Hiding behind the highlight reel of who you are, is the real you and that person is just as worthy of love. There is nothing more terrifying or fulfilling, than complete love, it’s worth the risk… reach for it.” – Jaeda DeWalt

How long have you two been together?

“We’ve been together for 5 and a half years.”

What brought you two together?

“We were first introduced at a Sweet17 party of a friend of ours, it was a really long time ago. I was seventeen back then and we were not dating. We got pretty close, but I was with someone else and so was he. Until one day, we broke up with our own girlfriend & boyfriend. It did not take long for us to get together. A month later, we’re officially dating!”

Who said ‘I love you’ first?

“I think it was me.. Lol!” – Robert

Tell us a little a bit about the proposal!

“I have actually prepared the ring 3-4 months prior to the actual proposal day. I had a feeling she had already known about this plan, because there were camera people and videographers. We were on this island, where I got on one knee, popped the long-awaited question, and showed her the ring.” – Robert

Why him?

“Robert is a very nice person. When we started dating, things weren’t naturally easy. We used to fight and argue (almost) all the time. But he once said to me, “Aku yakin one day kamu bakal berubah,” and yes it happened. I became a better person each day, it wasn’t an easy road but we made it through together.” – There

Why her?

“There is such nice person. She is independent, organized and well-planned. That’s what I really love about her!”

Any relationship advice for future brides & grooms?

“To all couples who are preparing marriage and wedding out there, my only advice would be to cut down your ego. To be united as ‘one’ with your partner is never easy. It takes commitment, courage, hardwork and the cost of being selfless / putting each other first. But I’m telling you, it is always worth it.”
