Years ago, we both sat in the same class in Seattle University. Both of us majored in Business, he took Finance, I did Marketing. We even drove the same cool car, black Mitsubishi Eclipse. Back in 1999, I'm sure our friends would not have predicted that we would both become wedding photographers. I'm referring my buddy, to the one and only Erwin Wijanto :)

In many ways Kendy & Fanny are similar to me & my wife Natasha. Being a graphic designer, Kendy knows what he wants for his pre-wedding, something out of the box. He seems to have all the ideas floating in his mind, just waiting for a piece of paper to sketch it out. When he shared his ideas, I get it instantly, and vice versa. We seem to share the same wavelength when discussing ideas. And our wives who are not as visual as us, they need a little more explanation ;)
Remember the energetic & sweet couple I shot in Korea? I got to shoot their engagement too. Ray & Ria, one of a kind couple, who seem to be super extra happy in everything they do. You can tell from the energy and excitement on their engagement day in Sukabumi.
I love Korea!! Though I've only been to Seoul & Jeju island, I find the country is so rich in culture, good food and yes cool fashion too.
A few months ago, I had the pleasure of shooting for Eric & Alda in Seoul. There's something about Eric & Alda that reminded me of Seoul Subway, ha ha i know it's random but maybe it's because we commute on subways during our Seoul photo session. More than that, I find relationship may sometimes look as complicated as the subway lines, yet the intersecting colors enrich the journey of discovering each other.
All these years, I always ask couples the same question, "How did he propose?" Each time, I'm ready to hear a surprising answer. Chun Kiat & Cheng Cheng has their own unique version. This one I have never heard before, and made me smile when I think about it.
Hong Kong!! Not only it has been 10 years since I went there but it was also my first time shooting there, haha imagine all the excitement (read: preparation and research) I had!
Sandy and Jessica are amazing couple! The both of them love plush toys, like love love loveee and they have so many of them. Some of their toys even go wherever they go. They have known each other since primary school, two little childhood friends who met again when they both had holiday at Jakarta and fall in love :)
Love knows no boundaries. The love story of Su Lyn and Nick spans from Malaysia to Australia and now to the United Kingdom. These two lovebirds were made for each other, sharing the same passion for food and travel. And so i was really excited to be able to shoot their prewed session in London, the city where they are currently residing. We went through great lengths to be able to make this shoot happen as we faced several hurdles along the way. But we are glad that all things worked out for good and we had an awesome time shooting around the city.
How many times have you board a plane and sit next to a stranger? Did you say "Hi" or introduce yourself? If not, perhaps next time you should. This is how Wira met Candice. Who would have thought a little hallo on a plane one day leads to a lifelong journey together.
A few months ago I had a great time shooting for Sendy & Josephine in Sampoerna Building Jakarta. I've passed by the new building a few times, always thought that it's a cool place to shoot...finally we did it.
