Made for Each Other

If you can dream it, you can have it...yes! finally I can land my feet at San Fransisco, one of the prettiest city :) Renowned for its chilly summer fog, steep rolling hills, eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture and its famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, and Chinatown..awesome!

Fritz & Nara
Love at first sight

Funny how destiny has brought two love birds together. When we were kids we used to believe in fairy tales, the story how we will one day meet that special person, fell in love and of course happily ever after. Years in Axioo, I always ask my clients : "How do you guys meet?" For Fritz and Nara, their is love at first sight, sort of a Hollywood love story.

Jeff & Erlyna
Rainy Friday

Lately I love shooting in the rain. There's something about it that helps us to relax and shift our gear down. Yes a little hot chocolate by the window would be great. On the day we're shooting for Jeff & Erlyna, it rained. But to them rain or shine it doesn't make a difference, they still go all out to have fun.

From the start they knew they wanted to be themselves, coming up the ideas as we go along. Having Jeff's cool personality combined with Erlyna's active and always ready for the camera charm, makes this portraits one of a kind.

Reny & Kusno
Highschool Sparks

I had the best of time shooting for Kusno & Reny in Singapore. As they were sharing their dating years in high school, images of them wearing high school uniform pop in my mind. I thought that could make a really cute shot, which it did.

What can I say? I totally enjoy shooting traditional wedding. There's so much details to shoot, so many stories to tell, in so many different ways. I sincerely believe our rich Indonesian heritage is something we should be proud of. It's easy for us to accept new cultures, especially the Western wedding style that is simpler and not so elaborate. When planning your wedding, don't forget your roots, explore your own culture and traditions making it a one of a kind wedding.

Vincent & Lilyana
Sunshine & Laughter

Yippee!!! Every now and then I get to shoot pre-wedding with my wife Helen. This time it's for Vincent & Lilyana in Bali.

As many of you know by now that when I shoot, I love shooting in several different locations and keep the shutter clicking. So to our surprise, Vincent told us he only brought 3 pairs of outfits. Actually I prefer to have more...ha ha to me the more the merrier. Anyway, nothing can stop us from having fun in Bali.

Life is a miraculous gift from God. Have you ever wonder how magical it is to be conceived and born into this world? Well someone has to bear with hormonal changes, gaining weight, stretch marks, sleepless nights and the incomparable pain of childbirth. For those lucky few, you deserve to be called mothers, mom, mama, ibu, 妈妈.

Alvin + Juliana Trailer

My first video blog entry in 2011! We shot so many great weddings in 2010, and in the midst of all the glamor and luxury, sometimes we can lose the real meaning of a wedding. I thought it would be nice to start the year by reminding ourselves what a wedding is meant to be, and it's hard to really put it into words. But I think this wedding in Bandung summarizes what i really want to say.

I've shot a much more glamorous weddings, much more beautiful locations, much bigger crowds before, but shooting Alvin and Juliana's wedding is one that I would remember a long time. How could I forget moments of Alvin's parents combing Alvin's hair symbolically for the last time while saying a prayer for him, and when Juliana's parents closed her wedding veil brought so many memories of them and made them all teary, and moments when Alvin expressed how much he loved Juliana.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful wedding. It was a day of love, it was a day when love was expressed. Congrats to both Alvin and Juliana, may your days be filed with love.

Fabulous 2011

Happy New Year friends :) I hope your holiday was refreshing. For those who had the time to travel somewhere during the holiday season, I'm sure it was unforgettable. The weather has taken most of us by surprise, air travel in most of Europe has been a nightmare (we were in London during its worst winter), east coast USA (not as fun either), and for our friends who went to Korea, you guys must have been penguins to withstand -15 Celcius.

But even if you didn't get to go anywhere far, the holiday is meant for a longer sleep, catching up with old friends and favorite movies, finish that book you've always wanted, and of course the perfect excuse to eat like a pig (most of us gained weight over the holiday).

Now that it's 2011, let's start the new year with new hopes & dreams. Don't be discouraged by yesteryears unfulfilled resolutions. Time to start fresh. Don't let anything or anyone stop you from becoming who you're destined to be. Nothing is impossible. I know it does not come easy, but it all must start as a dream.

Over the new year, i found my journal and began reading what i've written several years ago. Only to find that one by one my dreams are becoming reality. Thank God for His favor. So for this year and many more years to come, I set out to live my dreams. But first it's time to put it on paper, that will make a big difference.

For me this year, i have a longer list to accomplish. First off, I want to meet Nemo & Manta Rays. I have been putting off my diving certification for a while, no more excuses now, it's time for me to get wet and just do it. Next I've always dreamed of spending a month in Italy, to learn how to cook from the locals. So this summer, that's what we'll do. I'm so looking forward to it. I'm sure I'll learn a thing or two on pasta making from the grandmothers in Tuscany. The list goes on and on...and i'm so glad this is the beginning of a new year.

We wish you a fabulous new year, so full of surprises that will always make you smile. Let's live life to the fullest.
