Bobby & Priska
Wonderland pics

Here's a little continuation for our Wonderland photo session with Bobby & Priska. Still can't get the song out of my head, now that i've seen their clip countless times. Thumbs up to Bobby & Priska for making this an original shoot.

Always remember: a little imagination can go a long way.

Bobby & Diah
Adventurous Love

Love is an adventure. A journey to explore the unknown, in good faith that whatever life brings we will always be together.

It wasn't easy for Bobby to go after Diah, took him more than just a few casual dates. He crossed the flood to rescue her *ha ha for those who lives in Jakarta, you'll remember our flooded moments. I once asked Diah, what was it about Bobby that she loves. She said, "He's always there for me, through thick and thin".

Andrew & Swasti
Summer in France

One afternoon at a boring financial seminar, Andrew bumped into Swasti during the break. What started out as a casual coincidence later grew into friendship. Fast forward a few years later here they are tying the knot at the end of the month.

Edwin & Felicia
Love Cupcakes

Felicia's obsession over cupcakes got us scrambling all over Melbourne for cupcake shops. Fortunately there's quite a few in town, each one seems to be cuter than the previous shop. All she wanted was more shots with the cupcakes...that got me thinking who's going to eat it afterwards? Edwin seems happy to help clearing the cupcakes :) I couldn't believe to find a fellow foodie as crazy as Edwin. We chatted all day talking about food, comparing notes on restaurants and our favorite chefs. At the end of our session we had the best dinner at The Press Club by Chef George Calombaris, serving a modern twist of Greek cuisine.

We knew shooting in Melbourne meant a lot more than just shooting cupcakes. With its beaches, lively downtown and vibrant nite scene...Melbourne is still my favorite city in Down Under. Enjoy their series of pre-wedding photos...

Bobby & Priska

Hey guys, it's been a while since my last blog, it's me again Paulus. I'm not a natural blogger like the others ha ha..so that explains why I have to push myself to publish my works. Here's one you will like :)

Before we met Bobby & Priska, Meli (our super talented stylist) already told me that Bobby is a cop...and I'm thinking, "Hmmm…this should be interesting". You know what I mean, we typically have a stereotypically cop impression in our mind. But that all change when we met Bobby & Priska. Immediately I was drawn into her fantasy world, full of crazy ideas, brilliantly imaginative as if anything is possible. She dreamt of having "Alice in Wonderland" inspired portraits, and that's just what we set out to do. She even has prepared Cheshire the Cat and The White Rabbit for props. Thanks to her ideas, we built our shots around it, imagining what we could create for this concept.

Bobby who wasn't at all like her, he's a whole lot more serious and lives in the real world if you know what i mean guys. But I see how much he loves her, how he's willing to go all the way to make her happy. He's even poisoned by her wacky poses and went totally goofy. Congratulations guys for tying the knot last weekend, I'll post the wedding pics soon. This has been an incredible experience for me, I hope you will forever live in your wonderland, a land so full of joy and wonder. Now let's enjoy their pre-wedding photos...

Jonathan & Citra
The gift

Now that you've seen Jonathan & Citra's clip, here comes their photo...

Over the years we always ask how couples propose to each other, some are hilarious, memorable, while some are romantic and original. For Jonathan & Citra, this is how the story goes. Jonathan, the playful yet ultra romantic guy planned a trail of gifts that leads to his proposal in Bandung. With each gift, there was a note attached describing a little bit about him and clue for the next gift. Inspired by the elaborate proposal story we had a similar version 'remade' for their pre-wedding.

Guys, if you're reading this blog...take some time to think about how you would one day propose. Have it your way, make it fresh and worth telling the story over and over again. I guess girls get to share their proposal story as often as they would tell about their wedding, so put some effort into it, make it count :)

A while ago we had a great time shooting for Erick & Like in Japan. It was spring...yes i know that's quite some time ago. I remember wanting to publish these photos immediately, but like all good things that had to wait until after their wedding. Congratulations to Erick & Like who tied the knot last week. Now it's time to share your photos with the world :)

Jonathan & Citra

Congratulations to Jonathan & Citra for your fabulous wedding. I came home last night after shooting their wedding, thinking that nothing could have turn out better. Everything went great, from the morning preparation, to the full house guests during their ceremony and at night it just got better. Can't wait to publish their wedding photos soon.

For now, enjoy their pre-wedding clip...entitled "Opposites Attract". Inspired from listening to their story of how different they are with each other and yet that's what draw them closer. Looking at how loving they are, we believe those differences are what completes them. Enjoy :)

Charlie & Yonna
Sweet Momento

It's no coincidence that Charlie & Yonna chose to have their pre-wedding photos taken in San Francisco, especially when you know they shared so much fond memories there. All day I was taken to their favorite dating spots, so for the next few hours it's as if we're tracing back their dating moments. They even took me to the cafe where they first met. I always enjoy listening to stories of how couples fell in love. Every story so original ;) Now that they are both living in Indonesia, these memories meant a lot more to them. There's no way they could visit these spots as often as they want to. I hope our photos capture the feeling that could take you back to that moment whenever you glance at it.

We're super lucky to have beaten the weather forecast two days in a row. It predicted rain, but somehow we enjoyed the best sunshine, sunset and thanks for the brief drizzle we even got a shot of the rainbow. The next day, we drove up north to Napa Valley, stayed in the fabulous Carneros Inn. Just an hour out of the big city and we escaped to the wine country. That's one of the many reason why we (my wife & I) love San Francisco. We'll keep coming back and not get tired of it. By the way we're even considering to spend our next summer there :)

Eric & Josephine
Call it Love

Bali always has that magic. Whether we shoot on the beach or near the lakes up in the mountains...almost always we have that magical moment to capture. It doesn't even matter rain or shine, somehow Bali sets the mood for love. No wonder the best selling novel "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert sets Bali as the place to fall in love. So looking forward to watch the movie...

For now, enjoy these series of portraits taken for Eric & Josephine during their short trip to Bali. Josephine has this sweet smile, especially with her dimples, I'm sure that got Eric's attention when they first met. I love how sweet they are to each other. Congratulations guys on your wedding! We wish you a lovely discovery to life's wonder called marriage. Be in love always :)
