Once in a while, we get the privilege to shoot an Indonesian traditional wedding such as Naldi and Ninda's wedding. I personally love the richness of the culture, the colors, and the variety of things that we get to shoot in such weddings, it is after all a most welcomed break for all of us after shooting mostly International weddings. However, in this particular day, we got ourselves a nice bonus. It is customary for the bride to say a 'thank you' speech to her parents before the actual ceremony, but when we heard Ninda's speech on that day, we knew right away that the speech would be the centerpiece of our Trailer.

Saying thank you to the parents has been a part of the program for quite some time in lots of weddings whether it be International or Traditional weddings. And we've been privileged to shoot some incredible shots of emotion during these moments. And Ninda's speech to her parents was one that we would remember for a long time. It was not only beautifully put but we were also amazed by how sincere it was. Call me emotional, but I'm always close to tears every time I watch this trailer. Enjoy this clip!

When I first met both Kelvan and Catherine, they were very clear in their interpretation of their wedding: "we just want to grow old with each other". It's heartwarming to know this commitment that they have for each other. Because all the party, the celebration, the nice decorations and the beautiful venue will only last for a day and night. When the day is over, they will only have each other to start walking the beautiful journey together. And for Kelvan and Catherine, I'm betting that it would be an adventurous journey, as we found out that Catherine has a very similar character as Kelvan and is pretty much is a female version of Kelvan. They are both outgoing and friendly, very wacky and fun, they both like to party, and in the same way, they are both very determined and sometime strong headed, which will always make their journey interesting ;).

But knowing that through thick and thin they are both willing to commit to stick by each other and to watch each other grow in beauty, really touched my heart. Til' then, our job is to capture every beautiful moments on their BIG day and make sure that the moments will last a lifetime. It was a day to remember for all of us in Khayangan Villa, Bali. And I hope that this Same Day Edit we produced for them will give a little glimpse of that beautiful day. Grats again Mr. and Mrs. Halim... I mean Mr. and Mrs. Firman :)

He is 26, loves Jacky Cheung, very patient, understanding, calm and collected. She is 18 (youngest client we've ever shot), very fun, sweet, wacky and most importantly, loves him very very much. The 'How' is easy. Thomas waits for her everyday outside her class to get her attention, and he's one of the nicest and patient guy I've ever met. Now, to the more difficult question, 'why get married at 18?' But the more i get to know Monica, the more I understand why. She is by far one of the most matured 18 year old I've met. She knows what she wants in life, and she knows she wouldn't enjoy them as much if she doesn't have Thomas to share her dreams with.

Well, the day couldn't get any more perfect than that day. It was a celebration of two young hearts just purely in love with one another, knowing that fact made my whole day. Yes, we also had a beautiful weather throughout the day. And yes, we also had one of the best family members ever which makes the whole day never short of fun and touching moments at the same time. And yes, we had an absolutely beautiful ceremony where we're all teary-eyed after the ceremony. But all that is just the icing on the cake. The fact is still, when Thomas met Monica, they fell head over heels in love with each other. And that, to me is the key to it all. Coz LOVE conquers all.

Grats you two lovebirds! Monica, I hope you enjoyed your very first after party :)

Here's how I would introduce our experience with Fritz and Nara:

Even during their Engagement day, or 'Sangjit' in their HUUUGE house in Bogor, we initially expected a typical day of formality, and we never expected in a million years that the day would end up with everyone being thrown into the pool. By then we knew we were in for a wild photo shoot during their wedding day. And, we were not mistaken.

Imagine a couple who is crazy about Japan and everything about the country, surrounded with a family who are as loud, wacky and fun as can be, joined together by a group of wild and energetic friends. That's what we experienced during the 2 days of being with them. And fortunately we managed to capture those moments and summarized them in this trailer. Enjoy!

After shooting weddings for years, I realized that what makes a wedding special and unforgettable is the "WHO" factor. Brilliant concept, one-of- a-kind wedding dress, hand-made souvenirs, exclusive designed invitation, dazzling sunset, exotic location are important. But with whom are you celebrating your special day with, is the most important thing of all. These are the people who make your wedding colorful and unforgettable. I encourage you to choose your bridesmaid and groomsmen wisely.

Nina and Chris are one of the most giving and selfless couple that I have ever met. Their story is one that will forever captivate my heart.

A wedding is the ceremony & celebration in which two people are united in marriage. Ever since that day we shot for Edwin & Felicia's pre-wedding in Melbourne, I've been so looking forward to this fabulous wedding.

When I count my blessings..this is one of them. We are blessed to have a constant flow of unique clients who's ideas, story and personality make each photo session so one of a kind, especially on Roy & Angel's wedding. Way before their wedding we met to discuss their crazy idea for the photo booth --> a mug shot in a police station! From then on, I've been looking forward to this wacky Bandung wedding.

I absolutely adore this epic & hip wedding of Bayu & Kalista. If you've been following our work for a while, you might have seen their wedding video posted earlier. We had a blast at Bayu & Kalista's wedding!! It's one of those wedding I would love to shoot over and over again. They are clearly so in love! Being together for the past decade made them even surer that a lifetime is not too long to be with each other. To always stay by each other's side, sharing life one day at a time.

It's been a while since I blogged about our wedding day video because of the Video Exhibition as well as preparing for our next exhibition in Surabaya. But I'm so excited to finally be able to blog this piece of wedding trailer and I guarantee you that it's worth the wait! You see, no one likes to wait for anything, especially a long wait. So when we're waiting for something, that something better be real worth waiting for. For Nicholas and Natasha, who had to wait not only for each other to appear in each other's lives but also had to wait for 2 years from the day they were engaged to their wedding day, they can say with confidence that the wait, was so worth it.

For us at AXIOO Cinematography, every wedding has to have a unique story, because that's the thing that would make their wedding uniquely theirs. So when we heard about their story, we straight away knew where we should start building their wedding trailer from. And the result, I honestly had a hard time holding back my tears watching this piece. Great job to Garry V. for directing and editing this piece of trailer. This might sound biased, but it's one of the best trailers I've ever watched.
