When I met Mike (read: Mi.Ke. short for Mikeyani):p the first thing that fascinated me most was the fact that she's a fashion designer, and she's going to design her own wedding dress. So without any hesitation I asked if we could shoot her while she's designing the dress for her wedding and post it for her Save the Date video. Fortunately she was excited about the idea and was willing to do it!

This is the first Save the Date video we are posting and we will be posting more Save the Date videos in future in hope to capture the uniqueness of every couple in every wedding.

From Oman with love...i thought that would have a cool title for this wedding. Hilal & Ahlam were friends ever since they were little kids. Who would have thought that one day they would be husband and wife. Perhaps London did something to bring them together. But i'm sure even without London college meet up, love will find a way to nudge them in the right direction.

Most of you probably have seen the awesome photoclips of their pre-wedding trips to Europe and Africa, so we're very excited to be able to finally post this trailer of Jeff and Cecil's wedding. And I said I was excited, not only because the wedding was extremely wonderful, and the party was absolutely awesome, but because Jeff and Cecil are both such wonderful people.

SInce the day I got to know them, they've embraced me and my whole team as their friends. And as we get to know them and their friends better, we found out that that is how they have treated everyone. Jeff and Cecil don't really care about who you are or what you do, always treating everyone is respect and care, always giving and always willing to go an extra mile to help you. That is why their friends absolutely love them both, and that is why we love them both.

The party took place in Mulia Hotel Ballroom, which that night was transformed into a wonderful magical place thanks to the awesome job by Lotus Decor. But the real highlight of the night was when Jeff and Cecil did their first dance together. Here's a man who has the respect of lots of people, whom his friends see as their 'big' brother and who can have almost anything he wants, but is so love-bitten that he' willing to learn dance moves that are so intricate, just so that he can share the moment on their wedding night with his lovely wife Cecil. Oh what love can do to a man.. It was pure magic.

We've been so busy in these few weeks shooting so many weddings that I haven't had the chance to blog the videos that we've shot, much apologies for that. I'll be blogging lots of weddings in these next few days so stay tuned.

Our journey starts in Dharmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta. The awesome couple is Roni and Susan, who have known each other for a long time, have even dated for eight years. Even from the very first time we met the couple, we knew that they would be absolutely a delight to shoot on their wedding day.

Their big day started with us finding out that ALL of Susan's bridesmaids are married, and none of Roni's groomsmen are married. And then, the fun and party began. As all of their bridesmaids and groomsmen were childhood friends, we never ran out of wild surprises and laughters the whole day long as the couple with all of their friends laughed and partied the whole day and night long. All we have to do is make sure that we capture all those moments so they can relive the moments now and then, for the rest of their fun journey together. Congrats to the loving couple!

I didn't get the chance to meet Charles and Henny before their wedding. So we went to Bali a day before their wedding day very early so we can get to Conrad Hotel to meet up with them before the actual shoot. I'm usually quite good in meeting new people, given time I can get them to like me and be comfortable with me. But with Charles and Henny I didn't need that much that. Simply because they are genuinely such a nice couple. They welcomed me and the rest of our team with open arms, even let us take a few scenes with them with such a short notice! Turns out the few scenes that we took with them that afternoon one day before their wedding day becomes the turning point and the highlight of our same day edit.

You see, on the wedding day, most couples are usually overwhelmed with all the different events that are going on that day. Not to mention the things that happened out of our expectations, so sometimes most couples tend to forget to stop and just admire each other, to say how they feel to each other on the biggest day of their lives. So, 'kidnapped' Charles and Henny, put them in a place where nobody was there, and let them just enjoy each other and say to each other what they feel that very moment to each other. All we did was provide the opportunity, and the rest, was magic.

Congrats Charles and Henny. May your days ahead be filled with magic.

It was quite a while ago, when I got the chance to shoot for Helvin & Eveline's wedding in Jakarta. As I was looking through these moments, the day came back to me as if it was only yesterday. Ha ha..that's the power of photography, more reliable than my own memory. The day was packed with so much laughter and actions, thanks to the bridesmaids & groomsman :) My favorite shot was that crazy group of the bridal party surrounding Helvin & Eveline in the bathtub...hilarious!!

Oh yes, you must have seen Fritz & Nara's photos on our blog before. First it was their pre-wedding photos taken by David, then their wedding day video...now it's my turn to blog for their wedding day photos. I've heard so much about them even before their wedding day. The whole office was buzzing with excitement saying how fun loving and charming they are, so my curiosity got the best of me. Who is this couple?

When we're shooting a couple in the biggest day of their lives together, we always keep our eyes and ears open. We're not only trying to listen and to see the things that are going on that day, but also for the very essence of the day. We're trying to see how much the couple love each other, what's so special and valuable about their relationship, and knowing how they actually feel that day. Some of you might have known and read about Mike and his extraordinary proposal to Eyvette in Bali from our earlier post, and in their wedding day we all saw how wonderful the decor was in Mulia Hotel Jakarta, the loud and super fun friends they have, and most importantly how beautiful the bride was in her wedding dress. All those things excite us.

But what excite us most, is when we saw and heard the essence of this day from the bride and groom themselves, how much they love each other. That what really matters to them was that day they were marrying each other. They were marrying their best friend. They were marrying someone that helps and inspires them to be better. They were marrying a person that they can depend on, to help them up when they're weak. They were marrying someone that accepts them as who they are. And that, should be the main essence of every wedding. Because when they wake up the next morning, the wedding party would just be a memory, and they would only have each other.

Congrats to Mike and Eyvette, for having each other.

After spending an unforgettable Christmas together in London for their pre-wedding photo, the stranded plane, unusually cold London weather and still have a good laugh, we know them well enough to see how madly in love they are. They look so good together :) So for their wedding day, I knew what to expect. No matter how small or big their wedding is, they would still cuddle and wink at each other, enjoying each and every moment that comes along.

In a year where we shoot over a hundred weddings, there are a handful of them which you really are looking forward to. This wedding definitely ranks in as one of the top most anticipated weddings in AXIOO. Not because how big and spectacular it's going to be, but because it's the wedding of our very dear friend whom I've known and loved for over a decade, and a dear friend to AXIOO in general. Jilliane, or Jiji as her friends call her is one of the best friends that you can have. She is thoughtful, caring, and very protective of her friends. She loves to cook and she's great in organizing stuffs, for me, she's one of the best person to look for if you wanna add a 'WOW' factor to anything that you're doing. And she's marrying one of the greatest and one of the most patient guy a girl can find these days, Malwin. Malwin loves football, loves football and loves football. Did I mention that he loves football? And they are so blessed to have finally found one another.

The wedding took place in Padma Hotel, Bandung. It's one of those weddings where you don't know who's doing what, yet you see everyone is busy doing something, trying to make everything perfect for the couple. For us, and I believe for most the the vendors out there that day who are also mostly friends of the couple, it's not actually so much to working, but rather like helping a great friend. I felt like I was a part of the family trying to make sure the wedding was great, and you can't call that work.

So that day everyone drove and flew from all over the place, just to be in this one spot in Bandung. To witness a great union of two great persons, two wonderful friends, who had to go through so many challenges and obstacles just to be standing where they are, saying their absolutely touching vows to each other. If people were to ask me how the wedding went, I would simply say: I was there, to witness two great lives, finally became one.

Congrats Malwin and Jiji. Have an awesome journey together. We love you both.
