Here's a lot more from our trip :) We found a really cool hotel for our stay in Dijon, actually it wasn't in Dijon...it was in a little town out of nowhere. But it's too beautiful to miss it. Abbaye de la Bussiere, is not your typical hotel...it's the one hotel we'll remember for a long time. Sometimes we underestimate the importance of choosing a hotel, thinking that we'll only use it to sleep. To me, the right hotel can make a world of a difference...be sure to check them out. I spend quite sometime to find what's unique in a city, where to stay, what to eat, what's in season, etc...this way we'll have a rich & memorable travel experience.
For Adrian & Sanny, it doesn't matter where they go, they are just so in love and they look good it every shot. During this trip, we didn't feel like it's a photo trip, but it's more like a 'roadtrip' with a bunch of good friends (with Hany & Andre as well). So much food to eat, good time to share...surely a lifetime to remember :)
Ok where should i begin? Adrian & Sanny is our all-time funniest and most expressive couple ever. After shooting for their pre-wedding last year and wedding day too, here come another series of their honeymoon photos in France :) You'll love it!!
Thousands of unforgettable moments traveling with them touring south of France to Paris. As we drive north, we have at least 6 bottles of wine & cheese to try along the way...good thing the police didn't stop us. The scenery kept changing from the blue beaches in south of France, to the autumn color nearing the mountains and then it snowed before we reached Dijon. None of us knew the way at all, totally relying on the GPS for every turn...thank God we're ok.
This is what we dream of for our Sweet Escape trips. A combination of exploring new places, funny moments and of course kick ass photos :) Enjoy...
Here's a gorgeous wedding we love. Carlyn & Matthew tied the knot in Sydney several months before this big party in Jakarta. I saw a glimpse of their Sydney wedding ceremony and how i wish i could have been there as well. It seems to be a trend to do two separate weddings, a small and intimate party for the ceremony and then a follow up grand wedding reception dinner sometime later. Whether it's Bali then Bandung for Lita & Ananta, or Sydney then Jakarta for Carlyn & Matthew...these guys just love parties!
This is what happens when the bride and groom let loose and have fun. And i appreciate the wedding organizer allowing the day to unfold naturally without directing too much. I love her expression, and also how much fun all the bridesmaids were having escpecially when they get Matthew to bride and dance his way into Carlyn's room.
Hey guys, it's Ivan's here...now my turn to blog
There always new experience when shoot a wedding...i love the way bride and groom look at each other, smiling, crying, hugging, exchanging their vow, hugging and dancing...that's what i felt in Ricky & Sally's wedding.
So many wacky things happend when Ricky come to pick her up. Here's one he will remember for the rest of his life...when the maid of honor demanded Ricky and the groomsmen wax their leg hair. Oouuchhh !! Painful but worth it, now that he get to see the bride (anyway guys should try to do that once in a while).
How i wish all weddings can be as wacky as this one. This is my kind of wedding!! I really enjoyed shoot them not only because we're friends but i get to see their chemistry and how much they love each other. Isn't that the most important thing in a wedding?
Once again congrats for Ricky & Sally, so very happy for both of you :)
Been a while since we update our blog. So now as we're in New York, along with Ivan we're typing away and plan to post a few blogs at the same time. Let's see how many we can update today :)
For Lita & Ananta, they had their dream wedding in Tirtha Uluwatu Bali, with much smaller guest count compared to the follow up dinner reception in Bandung. The wedding ceremony is set in the most beautiful and sought after chapel over looking the ocean. A little touch of pink is found throughout the wedding, from the flowers to Ananta's tie. Friends and family came from all over to take part in this happy day. An intimate sunset dinner on the beach sets the romantic mood for the night. The night ended with dancing and fireworks.
For us, we totally enjoyed the day as much as the happy couple. Wherever we turn, there's always something interesting to shoot. Enjoy their happy moments
We proudly present "The Love journey" by Axioo and Nefi for Valentine's Inspirations. For almost 6 months our window display have filled the wall of Plaza indonesia, changing from one concept to another. But this is the one that speaks dearly to my heart. Cause it reminds me of how important teamwork is. Thank you Nefi and the team for helping us, you have made it beautiful.
To say that i love their pre-wedding photos is an understatement. The whole shooting experience with Andre & Hany has been so memorable that i don't mind doing it again. There's something about them that makes the shot so special, it's not the fashion or even the locations for that matter, coz we did some shots in Jakarta as well as France. One thing that stood out is their chemistry on camera. I felt that this is it, we nailed it. Their passion is so tangible that it's worth posting it twice on our blog. You guys are so in love...keep it that way for the next 50 years together :)
Hey guys, it's Paulus here again...now that i'm done giving away all Ang Paos for the Chinese New Year i'm ready for more blogging action. Let me first introduce this lovely couple Roy & Venice. I've been fortunate to shoot for two lovely couples from Malaysia, the first one is Patrick & Eunice. Roy is not Patrick's brother although they both knew each other long enough since elementary school. So thanks to these guys, looks like we do have a little fan club in Kuala Lumpur :)
All these photos were taken in Kuantan, quite a few hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. It's a small yet beautiful city and a popular tropical getaway. Before this trip i had no idea it existed. It so happen that both Roy & Venice work in Kuantan, and to my surprise he owns a lottery shop *yes it's legal :) It was a memorable trip for my wife Natasha & I, from the midnight "Too Fast Too Furious" four hours drive to Kuantan, to all the funny moments during the photo shoot. It's been a pleasure knowing this lovely couple, who is more like a friend to us.

I always enjoy shooting a wedding when the bride and grom doesn't really care much about the rundown and ceremony details. Instead they just enjoy their special day by having lots of fun.
You guys remember Davin & Ifung pre-wedding? Yes, here they are...finally married :) This is one intimate wedding in Bandung. I love the warm, fun and cuteness that i felt in this family..everyone are just super happy. Davin can't stop crying during the ceremony, perhaps so touched that he finally gets to marry this beautiful girl. Ifung looks like a Japanese doll, ultra cute and always cheerful. I heart Davin & Ifung, you guys are the best!
Congrats again and see you at Sweet Escape, yeayy!

Most of you still remember Phoebe & Dan from our previous post of their pre-wedding & wedding, now it's her sister Felice who's getting married :) Irwin is one cool Filipino dude, who seems to be ON for any ideas we came up with. I still remember the day of their pre-wedding shoot which started with lots of intermittent rainfall and a little episode of getting chased by security officers. Needless to say we had a whole lot of spantaneous fun!
Ok there's a first time for everything..here's my first ever shoot at the zoo! For Felice & Irwin, they love animals sooo much that they insisted on having it shot with the animals. Feeding and playing with the cow named "Manohara" is another unforgettable scene. I love seeing how cute and loving they are. Once again congrats guys, may the cows overflow you with milk..he he :) *peace

How's your Valentine's Day? We hope you get to express your love more than just one day in a year. To love and be loved is truly the best feeling in the world.
As you may have notice we do capture love mostly in couples, but this time we get to see love in families. For Joy & Robin, this is their love..baby Gwyneth :) Having a baby really changes things around the house. Your day will feel shorter, night longer...i'm sure Ivan & Helen can relate to this too. But through it all, I'm sure you smile 100x more when you're with baby Gwyneth, laugh a whole lot more and your love grow stronger. Babies are miracles from God...treasure each moment, she'll grow in a blink.
I love love these portraits of Andre & Hany :) It's truly a joy to shoot for them. We are fortunate to capture their memories in France, traveling from Nice to Paris, passing through Dijon & Lyon...with some insert of photos taken in Jakarta too. You'll find quite a mix of different scenery, but what i love from it all is capturing their love story. I'll be posting their images in a separate post...for now here's their pre-wedding clip.
Enjoy the clip, add some comments & don't forget to share ;)

Ferry & Rufina is one of my favorite couple. The first impression of them was totally different when i spent the whole week with them, in fact they're super fun & wacky! Our initial destination was suppose to be Japan, but due to visa issue, we finally decided to head to Taiwan instead.
This is the first time for me to explore Taiwan. The first thing that caught up my eyes when we arrived in Taiwan is their tagline “Taiwan, touch your heart” and after a few days exploring Taiwan, the tag line is totally true. The people are very friendly eventhough they hardly speak English, the buildings and the parks middle of the city makes Taiwan the place you want to visit.
I heart Ferry & Rufina, they are very fun, energetic, sweet and craziest couple I've ever met…we enjoy every shooting session, we laugh a lot, we jump a lot, and we run a lot. There are so many beautiful places in Taiwan, we start shoot from National theme park to Hello Kitty apartment.
Totally enjoyed my trip with Ferry & Rufina, they're an amazing couple and good friends…love you both! See you at your wedding and Sweet Escape yauwww...

I remember seeing them the first time, coming over to our office and thought to myself "Oooh I'll enjoy shooting this couple". So I did...it was fantastic! They are so natural in front of camera, it's as if they're professional models and i'm shooting for a fashion spread. No wonder models get paid so much for a shoot, often more than the photographer...now i know why. They are what make the images stand out, real emotions of love shows through. Ok while we're on the topic of 'real', this is where it makes the biggest difference. We shot a fair share of fashion spreads for magazines and though models are professional knowing how to pose and what to do next...but there's no chemistry. When shooting real couples in love, their chemistry is almost tangible, it's like you know their feelings just by the way they look at each other.
With their wedding coming up end of this month, i'm sure they are busy sending out invitations and doing the final check on the wedding preparation. So here's a glimpse of their portraits, enjoy :)
A little spark here today in our office...everyone prepared a little something for the birthday girl --> my lovely wife Fen. We woke up this morning thanking God for all the things He's done in our lives. Then a crazy idea pops up (this always happens), 'let's escape to Singapore for the day'...we let the idea sit for a while then decided not to do it. Instead we headed off to our office and found a pleasant little surprise :)
it seems like birthdays are a whole lot more fun when we were little. All the singing, food and gifts made it all the more special. Today, we reminisce a glimpse of it. Today is special, we give thanks for another fabulous year ahead.
I won't forget the feeling shooting for Danny & Eva on top of the world (well..we were pretty high up on Whistler Mountain, British Columbia) The view is simply breathtaking. How i wish we can just relax there for a few more days just to enjoy the scenery...
With great food and spectacular outdoors, no wonder Vancouver always gets high rating being the most livable city. As for Danny & Eva, their fondest memories together has always been here, so Vancouver means a whole lot more than just a beautiful city. When we came up with ideas on how and where to shoot for their portraits, it's quite a challenge to narrow down to just a few locations. So we decided to just have fun in and around Vancouver doing the things they do when they were dating. With that, i just have to shoot their chemistry while they were having fun the whole day.
Come & join in the FUN at Axioo's Love Language Competition @ eX Plaza Indonesia from 5-17 February. WIN an Apple iPad!!
Our team is delighted to present an interactive exhibition at the wildly popular eX Plaza Indonesia. This time, we ask the audience to participate and create their own photos at our booth.
Based on the best selling book "Five Love Languges" by Dr. Gary Chapman, we realize each of us say "I Love You" differently. The dynamic of a relationship rely on how couples successfully communicate their love. In the age of Facebook, Twitter & Blackberry message, we somehow rely on our status and messages to get in touch with our loved ones. Yes saying "I Love You" on your Twitter might get him/her to notice, but that might not be their primary Love Language. To some people, action does speak louder than words. While to others spending quality time means a lot more than getting all sorts of gifts. So on this Valentine month, discover each others' love language and begin to communicate accordingly. To take the test, please follow this link of Love Language test.
Here's a glimpse of the five love languages: Quality Time, Receiving Gift, Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service. Which one is yours?
Vita's pregnancy shoot is one of the most fun pregnancy shoot we've ever had. They like it fun and colourful and it turns out very well! We enjoy every second of that shoot.
Vita and Francis is a very sweet couple. We were shocked when we first meet Vita because she is one hot mommy!
We love their shots hope you"ll love them as much as we do!!
Very excited to see baby Amarta!

Don't you ever wonder why opposites attract? How sometimes someone so different from you can get you head over heels? The little things they do that drive you crazy are also what make them so irristable?
For Stephanus & Dewi, this is what brought them together...so they say. After getting to know them better, i realized that it's not entirely true that opposites attract. To me, both of them share this young, playful, and cheerful energy that perhaps glued them even more. How should i say this? They are just sooo in love with each other, that no differences can set them apart.
We explored some new ideas and places to shoot for their portraits. Laughing and giggling as i shoot them through the day. Enjoy :)
Love lasts though the seasons. For Jansen & Rose, we are so excited yet nervous to shoot 4 seasons in a day's session. Thumbs up for the couple who shows no signs of panic as the rain starts pouring down, they even seem to enjoy running in the rain. We always believe there's sunshine after the rain, and so it happened. The sky clears up for us to continue shooting this series of portraits.
To Jansen & Rose, thank you for trusting us to shoot it anyway we like. We totally love these shots!!
