Axioo Outing

A short refreshing trip does magic to our life. We've been so looking forward to go on this Axioo outing trip, destination Bangkok. For the next few days the whole Axioo team (more than 30 of us) gets to spend time together, share our thoughts, enjoy Bangkok, shop and eat and eat and eat. No surprises that our luggages and tummy expanded within a matter of days.

Sweet Escape
USA

After all these years, we still have this familiar bond with the USA. There's something about it that makes it feel like home. Once in a while I still miss all the little things I used to do in Seattle, some silly food cravings that can only found there. Like that little hole in the wall Thai Tom in University Way that makes me drool each time I think about it. Now that we are living in Jakarta, the city of a hundred malls (so it seems), I miss the outdoor shopping malls in the US, like The Grove in LA.

Sweet Escape
Europe

I can't believe that we are now entering the month of March. Time does flies very fast. I want to share photos of couples we shot in Europe for either their sweet escape trips [honeymoon] or Pre Wedding Portraits Sessions. I will be posting a few more blogs on travel destinations ideas. I hope it inspires you and help you choose your destinations for your honeymoon or holiday.

The nice thing about travelling with a tour, you get to see lots of different cities and their landmark, meeting a new people, and everything is planned for you.

lighting & home theater

Juggling between wedding preparations and building a new home can be very challenging. I have met couples who in the beginning enjoy planning their wedding and designing for their home, later became frustrated. It is definitely a challenge. Deciding the concepts, color themes, invitations, decorations, choosing wallpapers for home, budgeting and so on.

I'd like to share the inspiring work of Infico by Fatony Santosa (my daddy) who specializes in fibre optic lighting for swimming pool, gorgeous Swarovski Lighting and state of the art home theater. Hope this inspires you, as you take your sweet time for your home. Remember designing a home is a never-ending-work on progress.

Last year, I started exploring on my other passion: interior design and home decorating . I had so much fun turning an old and abandoned house to warm white homey Axioo showroom and dream workplace for our team. And it is now still work on progress :)

A Total AXIOO Experience

Recently we're given the opportunity to work together with Canon and Susan Album in holding a 1 day seminar in Ciputra Hotel Jakarta. Right from the start when we heard about the idea we're super duper excited, but we didn't really think that so many people would turn up and some were even from other cities. We had David and Ivan as our main speakers, giving tips and tricks, and most importantly values and visions of AXIOO.

Later that afternoon we found out that there were lots of interest and questions about our video department, so we had Yosep courageously answering all the questions.

All in all it was a super wonderful, and super exciting day. We had our fans there, we had most of our AXIOO family there to support and we had great fun! We're now thinking: Hei.. Maybe we should do this regularly.. :)

Here's a glimpse of how that day went in case you missed it!

Introducing Jan
Love Story by Jan

Hi there, we want to thank you for being our faithful readers. We welcome the month of December, it's the month of Christmas :) Do you agree with the song "It's the most wonderful time of the year"? I do believe so, during Christmas, family gathers together, people are not afraid or hesitate to say I love you, the joyful Christmas songs, a dazzling decorations, it is truly a heart warmer. After all, the meaning of life is to love and be loved.

This question was asked to a group of 4-8 year olds, "What does love mean?"

NEW Blog

You may have noticed by now, our blog has a new look. We get bored easily and have been toying with the idea of a new blog design for quite sometime now. So in between shooting for our clients, we've been experimenting on new ideas on web experience. For most of us who have fallen in love with our previous blog, i know it's hard to switch to this one. *don't be shy, it took us a while too, to finally say we'll proceed with this. Let's just say we always find it difficult trying something new. Give it a try, spend sometime on our new blog, tell us what you think about it. We're still working on some more features coming up within the next week or so.

We started listing what we want to have for this new blog. We wanted a warmer site, introducing our viewers to Axioo team. You'll get to see who's who behind Axioo, so one day when you come over, you'll know who to look for. We wanted our viewers to experience a glimpse of Axioo's office, that inspires the living room navigational design. Our previous blog design looks like a journal page, now we wanted the web experience as if you come to our gallery, scrolling right to view each post. At first I find scrolling right, counter-intuitive and my beloved portrait (vertical shots) gets a smaller real estate. But come to think of it, scrolling right tells the story better, as if we're still on the same page (considering most of our monitors are landscape anyway).

So check back on our blog often, we'll be posting several interesting stories and recent works weekly. With each post we hope to inspire love and the joy of living ;)
