Have you ever wondered what life was like before that special entered it? I’ve tried to picture my life before marriage and my two children and I turn up blank. All I can think of was all the things I have been missing before I met my wife. She is my best friend and a reliable partner in every aspect of my life. And I can say without a doubt that many of my most endearing adventures began with her. I love marriage. I love how it makes me feel and I love how it changed my life. So when I meet people who are embarking on this new journey called marriage, I get excited and gush about all the good things there is to enjoy being as one with the one you love.
There are many things I’ve learned from five years of marriage. One of the most valuable is the truth in what a wise friend told me: husbands need respects and wives need love. A husband cannot love his wife if he feels disrespected and a wife cannot respect her husband if she feels unloved.
I can’t say much for the women, but guys, sometimes when we give accommodate her mood swings, lend an ear to her stories, entertain some of her “what in the world?” requests that may seem unreasonable but still doable, or give in to a few hugs and kisses here and there, we may get a whole lot out of it. I’ve heard that marriage takes a lot of hard work, but if this is what they are talking about, I feel like I don’t have to work a day in life!
Anyway, there is my short share on marriage. And as for the portraits, we came up with a vintage feel concept for these two lovebirds. We were mostly going for sweet and romantic. With the chemistry that these two shared, I had a feeling that the result was going to be beautiful! And by the way, Jessica designed her own pre-wedding dress! Great isn’t it?
Cheers,
Ivan
