I love shooting weddings so much that I have decided to do it often (Really, is it that obvious? ha ha ) and this wedding was an exceptionally FUN FUN FUN one to shoot. It was one I truly enjoyed shooting. I arrived early in the morning at the Bride’s residence and since then I was already greeted with such a glow from happiness deep within. She was stunning! I couldn’t get enough of snapping her expressions with every move she made.

The groom, Billy, arrived with his entourage and was greeted by all the bridesmaids who had prepared a special welcome game for them. They went through each obstacles gladly, as if it was a competition. But of course, for Billy, we would have done just about anything to get to Cella, and this was just a piece of cake. Throughout the whole day, the whole bridal party added so much color and energy to their moments. While we had a little break in the middle of the day, they crashed the bridal suite for a quick photo session. Now that was fun!

When I hear people say that “every wedding is the same”, I shudder a little. Because I have seen it firsthand and repeatedly, that despite the similarities in ceremonial rituals - the way they promise to take each other to love, to hold and to cherish in the good and bad times, the heartwarming moments as they received blessing from their parents, the smiles on their faces as they welcome friends and family who came to congratulate them – up close and personally, it isn’t the same. When you look closely, you’ll know the story behind every wedding. It’s a story about how a couple finally came together, and how they’ve put aside their difference to say “I do” to forever. It is a story of how a girl finally found the man of her dreams and a story of new beginnings. Every time I am out there shooting for their wedding day, I get a glance of how they feel living out their stories. And when I have a whole lot of fun doing it, well, that’s a huge bonus!

Billy and Cella, thanks for a memorable day! And here’s to a lifetime of happiness!

Cheers,
David
