Wandi and Frida first crossed paths in college. She thought he was shy to talk to her, and he thought she was too cool for her own good. Until one day during a quiz on Taxes, he called out to her. Quietly. During a test. To ask for an answer to a question on the test. (Insert roaring laughter here.) I don’t know about you, but I believe that everyone has their own unique ways to chat-up the objection of his/her affection, and I’m sure that Frida will never forget how they first met.

After class, Wandi asked her out. And that night, they went to dinner, had some ice cream, and had a pretty good time. Since then, they were inseparable. Until he had to go back to Makassar and she had to work in Singapore. Long distance is not for everybody. It takes a lot of open communications and a strong commitment to finally carry out a long distance relationship to the altar. And I’m glad to see that Wandi and Frida are one of those who did.

We shot their pre-wedding portraits in Singapore, around the places most dear to their hearts. We chose casual settings, to reflect the couple’s relaxed relationship personality. Although they are largely casual, the chemistry in the shoot with the Singapore Sling is my absolute favorite. There’s just no hiding it when two people are this deeply in love with each other.

Wandi and Frida, you’ve beat the long distance. Now enjoy each other’s company on your journey together!

Cheers,
Ivan
