I first met Jenni more than ten years ago. She was a highschool friend of my wife. Even though her visit to Seattle was short, I snapped many photos of our adventures together. I was just beginning to dabble in photogaphy back then.
Jenni struck me as someone who is extremely cheerful and upbeat. Someone who is generous with her smile. Someone that brightens the day and also the world around her. So I was both excited and honored when she wanted me to photograph her wedding in Sydney. I have always wanted to experience the pace and tradition of an Australian wedding.
I took my tribe along for this trip. It was a bit funny to see your wife and kids among the wedding guests. My little girl was running around with our point-and-shoot and acting like a little wedding photographer. She was my second shooter. I was more than touched if you ask me.
In my profession, I have been to many weddings. Small ones. Big ones. Low budget. Big budget. No budget. Jenni and Colin's wedding might not have the grandoise decor of a royal wedding, but their wedding has something that are priceless - life and chemistry. They went through a tragedy weeks before their wedding but they still keep their smiles on. Then you hear testimonies from their friends about their sincerity and generosity, and you see these lovebirds actually living it, even on their wedding day!
Thanks so much guys for having us and for being such gracious hosts. We love you!
