They know each other by their friends through friendster and Facebook. Nana lived and worked in Indonesia while he has been living in the US for the last 11 years.
In December 2008, after almost 10 years being absent from his home country, Wira finally went home to visit his family and friends. Wira promised that "he will find time" to meet with Nana.
Finally, on January 26, 2009, they met face to face in an Italian restaurant called Pepenero. Over some steak, cheese and tiramisu, they got to know more about each other. January 29, one day before Wira had to fly back to LA, was the day they realized that they have fallen for one another, and somehow, on that moment, they knew that they were meant to be together.
Countless phone calls, instant messages, facebook and finally, skype calls were exchanged and the two were closer than ever. Nine thousand miles and 14 hours difference between them cannot keep them apart for even a single day. Every 6 months when Wira flew back home, they got to have their dates in person. On September 2010, Nana visited Wira in LA and she got to see in person where he lives, works and his pet cat, Simon.
On a family trip to Australia, on the night of January 2, 2010, he popped the question on a bridge in Darling Harbour, Sydney, and she said "Yes!". After both of their families agreed on a "good date", on April 4, 2010, they had their proper engagement ceremony with Wira digitally appearing on Nana's laptop screen through skype.
Two years, eight months and countless skype calls after the day they met, they finally tied the knot in Bali. Bali always had a special place in their heart. They had a small and very intimate time with their closest friends and families. Just the way they wanted it.
