Last weekend was a big day for Bonar & Irene as they celebrated their engagement in the city of art, Jogjakarta. Thanks to Irene’s family for the culinary tour, I went home with a happy tummy :D

Knowing Bonar & Irene for quite some time now, I was really excited to shoot their pre-wedding in US. They are this happy loving couple, who can easily find their way around camera. Every move, every glance, shows that they’re very much in love.

As memorable as the day was, Irene got all of the crew panic during our first scene in the desert. I was jumpin’ here and there, having fun while shooting them when suddenly I realized that Irene’s face looked really pale. She then told us she felt dizzy and the next thing we know, she's already fell to the ground. We were in the middle of nowhere and the car was already half way to the gas station. We did what we had to do, thank God, few minutes later (trust me it felt like hours) Irene gained her consciousness.

Later we discovered that Irene was under a very strict diet for the photo shoot, so tips for all the bride-to-be out there, please do a healthy diet rather than a quick diet. ;) As overwhelming as the preparation can be, it can be enjoyable too. So cherish every moment of your wedding preparation, have fun during the process. :)
Aside from the ‘drama’, everything went out well. Bonar & Irene’s energy made the shoot easier, their chemistry was captured in all over the pictures. Special thanks to Karin who drove us everywhere, Big D who had been a great assistant, my wife Helen, the super make up Yuri Sinata and of course the expressive couple, Bonar & Irene. We love you! ;)
