Through the years of shooting different kinds of weddings, we've met many different kinds of couples and relationships. Some couples told me that they've only met each other not over a year before, yet some couples have relationships that has lasted for many many years. WIllie and Merlin have known each other and been in a relationship for more than eight years before they finally tied the knot, eight years IS a long time to wait!
When I really think about it, couples that have a long dating period before getting married have to be the most gutsy ones. Why? Because 8 years is a long time after that 'Love at first sight' moment, it takes a lot to maintain. And the longer it is, IF it doesn't work out, the couple has a lot to lose. I believe it takes a lot of stability, understanding and acceptance from both parties to be able to go through so many different challenges yet chose to stick by each other. So my hats off to those who have had a long relationship and finally tied the knot. Hats off to the lucky couple Willie and Merlin for finally reaching the end of one long chapter of their lives and moving on to the next chapter. May this chapter be much sweeter than the previous one! Cheers!
