Love and life are like hide and seek.

Oddly enough, sometimes when you spend your whole life looking for that perfect someone, he never comes. But when you finally forget to look, he shows up! So love does happen when you least expect it!
Ron and I met by chance. A mutual friend introduced us and his lousy pick-up line ruined our first introduction. He said I have a weird name! That killed it for me and we never crossed paths again.

Then on a seemingly random night, it appeared that God had plans for Mr. Right and me. We happened to be in the same café/bar when a mutual friend introduced us – again! We didn’t recognize each other at first. Then there was some small talk and a lot of awkwardness. I was also being a snob because I didn’t really think he was my cup of tea. So I left later that night thinking I won’t ever be seeing him again.

But, a few days later we were set up in a group date. Then the following week, he braved himself and asked me out for a casual coffee - Just the two of us this time. Surprisingly, we shared and talk a lot. And then the rest is history, as they say...

The first few months of our relationship were tough. My beloved uncle (who is like a 2nd father to me) was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the same time my beloved grandma was also very ill with old age and didn’t have much time left. I therefore spent most of my days with them. Being in and out of the hospital, surrounded by death and illness and watching two people you hold so dear deteriorate was one of the most-heartbreaking periods of my life. But Ron would always come with me everyday whenever he had a few moments to spare. Some days, he stayed with me until late at night; and best of all - Ron, my grandma and uncle got to know each other before the latter two moved on…

Without any complaints, Ron stood by my side during one of the most difficult times in my life. Almost everyday, he showered me with comfort, strength and words of encouragement to keep me moving. He believes in me as much as I believe in him and always has a shoulder for me to cry on. Last but not least, he has the biggest amount of patience for me (cause I can be a DIVA sometimes!).

Many will say that we are complete opposites… and they are right! He often jokes that we are Yin & Yang; but I like to say that we are like strawberries and chocolate! Two completely different flavors that melt into perfect harmony. Everyday, we discover new things to laugh, to share, and to give to each other while also embracing each others' differences – even if it gets annoying sometimes! I guess the bitter experiences in life makes us stronger and cherish one another more. It also helps mature our love.

Time flies… It feels like just yesterday we were dating like high school sweethearts, but in the blink of an eye he will be my husband in less than 3 weeks. Together we will venture on a new journey in life... and there will be more responsibilities and we have to do things in a ‘adult’ way… He is a miracle, indeed.

Axioo has been a wonderful part of my bride-to-be chapter!! From their jaw-dropping photos (in their portfolio) to their one-of-a-kind studio in Jakarta… how could any girl not fall head-over-heels for them? They are certainly a creative force to be reckoned with! I remember enjoying the Maquis cheesecake that Faustine bribed gifted us with after stepping out of their studio and a funny little voice kept saying to me at the back of my head, “You should take Axioo... You should take Axioo... You should take Axioo...” SO THAN WE TOOK AXIOO!!!

Not a bit of regret. Not only did we make the right choice of choosing them as a part of our wonderful journey, but we also made a lot of good friends. Believe it or not, they are ‘toxic’ and addictive. Hehe. So each day I am adding more ‘toxic’ into my BBM and sometimes I chat with them until my fingers cramp! They are too wonderful for words and certainly more than just a business.

Many times, I wonder what makes them so passionate about their jobs? Their enthusiasm, professionalism and passion inspire us. Often, they share many hilarious stories about Ivan’s ‘FAILS’! **So, remember not to give him any hard candy if you see him next because he recently knocked his front tooth off while shooting.** See! The fact that a photographer would risk his body and health during the photo shoot just to get the best possible shot… how can you not love them?!

** A million thumbs up for David and Fen too!!** {take a bow} {hugsupertight}

Ron and I look forward to continuing our journey together as husband and wife. And we would like to sincerely thank everyone in Axioo for taking this wild ride with us. We will come back for more!! So please keep inspiring us with your awesome-licious job;)

Hey wait, …I think you guys are from mars because no one can beat you guys!
