First of all, let me say this, one of the reasons I love shooting weddings, is to get to know the couple as well as their family. It is like celebrating and capturing happy moments of good friends, I feel so blessed. I know Kelvan's and Catherine's family way before. I shot Catherine’s sister (Tiffany + Hans) and Kelvan’s sister (Regina + Joseph) for their portraits session. And now it is their turn, they both picked LA and Vegas. I feel nervous, excited, and happy all in the same time.

Catherine knows what she wants to the very details - poses, gowns, shoes, hair pieces. And on the other hand, Kelvan is the gentleman who is willing to do anything for Catherine. So it's not that hard to shoot their portraits. Their love was simply shows in every click.

From LA, we drove to Vegas. yes it's ROAD TRIP. ( I kept imagining that HANGOVER scenes all over my head everytime I heard Vegas road trip) Such a memorable trip, we never lack of topics to talk about. What an awesome experience.

One of the thing I thank for from this trip was getting to know Kelvan’s dad, I think Kelvan is so lucky to have such an open minded and wise dad. I learned so much from his dad. His dad & mom are still falling in love with each other, even at their age, it doesn't take a genius to see that. If I can quote what he said “Tante ada disamping saya, dari saya ga punya apa-apa.. sampai sekarang.., wanita seperti itu yang susah dicari jaman sekarang.. saya sangat bersyukur bisa mendapatkannya”. He is the family-man, and he always taught their kids to be one. Everything he has, is for his family. One for all, all for one :)

I hope me and Nat could be like them. Growing old together and always keeps the sparks. Thank you Kelvan and Catherine for trusting me to be your photographer, and last not least, Thanks to Recel & Keldy who always keep an eye on your brother *especially on the table. As Lord Dewar said," No wife can endure a gambling husband unless he is a steady winner."

ps: by the time you read this post, Kelvan & Catherine would be exchanging their vows. Congrats to the newlyweds :)
