Happy Sunday everyone :) So thrilled to be back home. The past week has been one heck of an adventure. Stranded in Santorini, with flights cancellation to Paris due to the volcanic eruption, we ended up heading to Rome as well. Here's my first day exploring Santorini, before shooting for a pre-wedding in this gorgeous island.

Just a few years ago, we day-dreamed about trips like this. Can't believe that the time has come for us to jet around the world as we do what we love most. Truly blessed :)

Here's the iconic blue top churches, tiny yet very pretty. You'll get to see quite a few of these all over the island, especially in Oia Village.

Here's my little travel habit, rent a car as soon as I land in any city, get a map or better yet a GPS, then have total freedom to explore. In some cases, like this one in Santorini, you don't need a GPS, just keep driving up and down the island (only 35 km) and you'll know it quite well. Got a super cool Peugeot 1007, with the sliding door...small and fun to drive.

Fantastic hotels all over the island, we had a tough time choosing one. We've been to quite a few hotels, and here's some of the best we've seen so far. We stayed in Aria Suites, Sun Rocks and of course the best is Katikies Hotel, you'll see more of it toward the end of this post. Santorini is perfect for honeymooners!

Ok here's Red Beach, famous for being uniquely RED! How often do you see red sand? But I'm still not getting it, always love white beaches. 

Here's a mystery door...it's like another world lies behind that door.

I cannot believe this. I saw this guy (the restaurant owner, where we had our lunch) threw some bread crumbs and a simple line to the sea. At first i thought, there's no way a fish gonna fall for that. To our surprise, within minutes he hooked this one!

Heads up, some roads it's better to ride the donkey...like the one with
600 steps up a hill, you'll need the donkey *just don't breathe...the
path is filled with brown gooey stuff.
