We've just realized that we've missed out  Lydia & Benny Barcelona trip, big oops *sorry guys. Partly because we got too excited posting our own 'Barcelona moments' earlier on.

Honestly, we had way too much fun in Barcelona with Lydia & Benny. Our itinerary centered around food, whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or even the late nite 1 am tapas supper. Ooo the tapas, sangria, paella, and gastronomic surprises..I would go there again, just to eat ;) But of course the city offers more than just authentic food, the architectural wonders, natural beauty and endless shopping makes Barcelona our favorite destination.

We explored most of the city in a few days, first off La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia that runs through the heart of the city with street performers and endless retails shops. A pit stop at the Boqueria Market is a must! You'll be amazed at how fresh local seafood, varieties of ham (Jamon Iberico), and much more that glued me to linger there longer.

Here's a scene at one of the many tapas stand in the Boqueria Market. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu :)

A stroll through the Bari Gothic, the old part of the city, you'll find narrow streets, Barcelona Cathedral, Picasso Museum and our favorite Salvador Dali Museum all in the area.

The city's famous architect Antoni Gaudi left his genious prints all over Barcelona. This includes Park Guell, Casa Milla, Casa Batllo and of course the crown jewel of his creation is Sagrada Familia church which is still under construction until today.

On our third day, we planned to drive from Barcelona to Valencia (normally takes about 3 hours). So we decided to stop every hour of the trip in Taragona & Peniscola (interesting name for a city). Anyway at our pace of traveling, enjoying the sights, trying out the cuisines, stopping for some snapshots...we ended up skipping Valencia.

We love the beach at Peniscola! This fortified seaport has a castle right up the hill, at the end of the beach. It's breathtaking :)

Of all our food adventure, the dinner at Moo @ Omm Hotel is the ultimate 4 hours gastronomy dinner. You'll have to try it to experience the genius food creation. New combinations and food preparation techniques beyond our imagination. If you want to try your luck, book El Bulli or Commerc 24 way ahead of time. Barcelona is a city that's full of brilliant talents...don't miss it.
